Google Announces Android App For Google Apps Administration

Google has recently announced an Android Application for Google Apps Administration. This application, which can be downloaded from Google Play, can be used for administrating your Google Apps account and its various applications much simply.

Google’s official blog added the Application is designed in such a way that Google Apps admin can do any kind of tasks on the go. The major features list includes Group Membership Management, Contact with users, resetting passwords of user accounts, removing or adding users quickly etc. The official feature list is like following.

• Create, Manage, Remove Users, Edit user passwords, suspending users
• Group management, editing user roles, listing group members
• Easy Contact with Users
• Review user activities

API access is required for using this Android Application as well as that you may have to enable Device Policies for Domains. It is also advised to use a good screen-lock before using the Application.

This Application is an expansion of what the company had announced in the last Google I/O Conference. In the mentioned event, the company had updated the Admin Console of Google Apps with a more logical grouping system, drag and drop facilities, etc. Even the SDK was available for users, who needed to have a customized Google Apps for them. It is pretty sure that the Mobile Application will be a gift for Google Apps users who loves both travelling and their business.
